A sanctuary for Dundee. Built by the community, for the community.
K-NEXUS Dundee CIC (SC881084) is a Community Interest Company founded in 2026 by Andrew Lafferty. We operate a 27-room community sanctuary hub in Dundee, Scotland โ a single building where anyone can access everything from free meals and mental health support to VR worlds and tech labs.
We exist for vulnerable populations โ people experiencing homelessness, food poverty, mental health crises, social isolation, neurodivergence, and young people who need safe spaces. But our doors are open to everyone.
To build a place where technology, creativity, and community care come together. Where a young person can learn to code in the morning, eat a free meal at lunch, get counselling in the afternoon, and compete in an esports tournament at night โ all without leaving the building.
We don't believe in gatekeeping help. No referrals needed. No means testing. Walk in, tap your wristband, and everything's available.
Nova is our custom-built AI that runs the hub. She monitors security, moderates Nexus Flow, manages family wallets, tracks inventory, and provides 24/7 support. She's trained on our own knowledge base and runs on hardware we own โ no data leaves the building.
Minni Nova is her public-facing version โ the friendly chat widget you'll see on every page. She can answer questions about the hub, check room availability, help with the shop, and speak in Scottish dialect.
